“Personal happiness. Everybody is so driven with achieving success within the lines of society’s definition. Very focused on the element of materialism. Because of my rheumatism, I actually started to value and appreciate the non-materialistic aspects in life more. We’ll all die. One rich, one poor. We all end up in a grave. Rheumatism actually made me more optimistic in life. It’s about what you do with the time you’re given. My definition of success? Now, that would be seeing my girlfriend smile. She is the one pursuing the career while I am the ‘house wife’. I clean up and keep the house and when she comes home from work and I see her smile, I feel achievement. I feel that sense of fulfillment.”

– Very optimistic young man in his 30s. Met him in the bus. He is a filmmaker and works on about one project a month. He would be a cameraman and put his studies to use, but it wasn’t meant to be eventually because of his disabilities. Inspiring how he turns something negative into positive energy and lives with a smile on his face. He believes that how ones definition of success changes based on the phase in life they’re going through. One’s definition today could be completely different from his/ her definition in 10 years…
